Common Parking Mistake That Can Lead to Expensive Damage

This is a mistake that most of us make when we park. This is something that many drivers do when they park his car and it is very likely to cost them very expensive.

It is essentially a move that is very simple, but many forget it and endanger both their own vehicle and passing drivers.

Usually, most of us, when parking our car, “align” the front wheels so that they do not protrude from the rest of the car. However, there are a few drivers who have the habit of leaving their wheels twisted, which may cause problems.

This is the mistake we all make when we park

First of all, it should be noted that the twisted wheels in a parked car can make it difficult for passing vehicles, especially on narrow roads, as the wheel is out of the body and thus reduces the available width even more.

It is certainly a move that shows a lack of respect for others, and in the case of bad calculation and contact on the side of the passing vehicle, the damage to the steering can be significant and quite expensive.

And it’s not just that …

Beyond that, there are some technical issues that arise from this rather bad habit of some drivers.

The first has to do with the hydraulic steering system, since if we leave the car with the wheels at frequently, then the system pump is forced and damaged faster, thus requiring a change soon.

The second concerns the front joints of the suspension, since if the car often parks with the wheels twisted, then the joints slowly lose their elasticity as they are permanently stretched.

Finally, there is a question with tires, especially in some cars where the wheels create a steep slope when they turn, as well as the whole front system of the car.
